As I approached my 80th birthday, I wanted to make a pilgrimage to Scotland, where my Irish ancestors passed through on their way to America ( which they called “New Island”). I selected Celtic Escape, from a large group of tour options and I am so glad I did!

On the eve of my visit, I learned a bit about one of my ancestors and asked her if she could help me research the information- within 48 hours, Kirsty had located a genealogist whose specialty was exactly what was needed to verify the information and arranged for him to meet with me during my visit. This was all less than one week before my trip. At the meeting the genealogist had already not only verified the information but expanded upon it, even located a picture of my ancestor, a WWII veteran. Kirsty’s help for my trip was priceless.
